Data licensing advisory for business owners
Your company's data is worth a lot.
AI companies have trained their models on publicly available data. Now they pay to license the private records of how businesses run day to day: orders, contracts, invoices, customer histories, plans, designs and models.
DataYield Partners advises owners on licensing that data to established AI companies and negotiates the terms, under licenses that require strict anonymity and data integrity.
You keep ownership.
You license it. You never sell it.
You keep control.
You approve what goes in and the final terms.
No upfront cost.
We are paid only if a license closes.
TARGET LICENSE VALUE

01 / The opportunity
Licensing private company data and history.
AI tools like ChatGPT learned from public information: websites, books, articles, public financial statements and public records. Much of that has now been consumed.
To keep improving their models, AI companies need private information: the records of how real businesses sell, build, lease, lend, manage and serve their customers. Your company has spent years building up this data with no way to earn from it. Licensing it is what we do.
Licensing, not selling.
You license a copy of your data to an AI company. You never sell it, and you keep ownership. We negotiate the price, permitted uses and term on your behalf.
Before any AI company sees it, your data goes through a de-identification process run by a specialist firm. How that works
What licensees ask for, by industry:
RECORDS LICENSEES ASK FOR
CRM
Appointments with outcomes
DESIGN TOOLS

FILE SERVER
Usage profiles and site photos

WHAT A MODEL LEARNS
How a home becomes a proposal, what closes, and how the system performs after install.
02 / How it works
Value it. Package it. Match it. Negotiate it.
From a few questions to a signed license in about 90 days. Nothing is shared until you agree, and we are paid only if a license closes.
Target timeline. Actual timing depends on your data and the licensee's review.
STEP 01 IN DETAIL
A few questions.
About ten minutes, answers only. Rough numbers and "Not sure" are fine. Nothing to upload.
Answer them now- 01Your company, and who to contact
- 02Your industry, and what a typical job looks like
- 03Headcount, and how far back your records go
- 04Which systems you use
- 05Roughly how much is in each
- 06Who owns the data, and anything sensitive in it
03 / What makes your data valuable
What makes your data valuable.
Not the size of your hard drive. What licensees pay for is real business records, kept over many years.
01
Years of history
Long tenure and deep history add the most value.
02
Real records
Reports, emails, databases, files and transactions, not raw storage.
03
Connections
Following one deal from first contact to final payment, even across different software.
04
Outcomes
Data on sales and deals, successful or otherwise. Both are valuable.
05
Team size
Larger teams create more data, even if team size changed over the years.
06
Clear ownership
Records the company has the right to license.
Data value is independent of financial performance.
A business that is struggling can still hold very valuable data. AI companies learn from failures as well as successes. (We do not work with companies in bankruptcy.)
04 / 30-second check
Is your data worth a conversation?
Five quick taps tell you whether your data is likely worth licensing. It is a rough read, not a price: we only estimate value once we have seen your answers.
01Years of records in a system
02Records in your main system
03Can one customer be traced across systems?
04Do records show outcomes, like won or lost?
05Does the company control the data?
YOUR RESULT
Answer all five
Your fit tier appears here as you answer.
A rough screen, not a valuation or an offer.
05 / Data Privacy
The patterns stay. The people don't.
AI companies learn how the work was done, not who it was done for.
Before you sign
Licensees see an anonymized summary. Your company is not named.
In the data
A specialist de-identification partner swaps names for stand-ins and strips contact details before delivery.
Under the license
The license limits what the licensee may do with the data. We explain the method and its limits before you sign.
06 / Referrals
Know a business with years of records?
Accountants, IT providers, business brokers and advisors know who has kept good records for a long time. Introduce us and we take it from there.
Up to $10,000
per referral that leads to a signed license, paid at closing.
Introducing a larger, more complex company? Referral terms for larger licensors are set case by case.
Make an introduction07 / Questions
What owners ask first.
Do I sell my data?
No. You license a copy for agreed uses, an agreed term and an agreed price. The business and the original records stay yours.
How much work is this for my team?
A few answers to start. If you go ahead, your IT contact sets up read-only access or runs a few reports. We do the cataloging.
Who licenses the data?
AI labs and the companies that prepare their training data. We share your anonymized summary only with the few we expect to pay the most.
How are you paid?
A success fee out of the license proceeds, set out in our agreement before any work on your data begins. No retainer.
Will my customers be identifiable?
Licensees receive de-identified data under terms that restrict its use. We walk you through the method and its limits before you decide.
What if my data is not a fit?
We tell you within 72 hours, and you will not have spent anything.
